In 2026, the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix returns to the twisting tarmac of the Hungaroring, a circuit that has hosted Formula 1 uninterrupted since 1986. This summer classic will take place from Friday, 24 July to Sunday, 26 July 2026. Located just outside the stunning city of Budapest, the race is a favorite for fans who love technical driving and a vibrant summer festival atmosphere, often serving as the final, heated battle before the sport's summer break.

A Technical Cauldrion

The Hungaroring is often described as "Monaco without the walls" due to its tight, twisty layout and lack of long straights. Spanning 4.38 km with 14 corners, it is a circuit that rewards high downforce and driver precision over raw engine power. The track flows relentlessly, with corners like the blind, uphill Turn 4 and the sweeping Turn 11 demanding perfect rhythm. Overtaking is difficult, making Saturday’s qualifying session absolutely critical and turning Sunday’s race into a tense strategic chess match where tire management is king.
