A Historic New Chapter in Madrid In 2026, the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix begins a bold new era, moving to the vibrant capital city of Madrid. This highly anticipated debut will take place from Friday, 11 September to Sunday, 13 September 2026. The event marks the return of F1 to the Madrid region after more than four decades, promising a spectacular fusion of sport and spectacle in one of Europe’s most cultural cities.

The "Madring" Hybrid Circuit The new semi-street circuit, built around the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre, is a masterpiece of modern track design. Spanning 5.47 km with 22 corners, it combines the technical challenges of a street track with the high speeds of a permanent circuit. The standout feature is the banked Turn 12, nicknamed "La Monumental," which will see drivers tackling a punishing 24-degree incline—a test of bravery and engineering that rivals the most famous corners in the world.
